Summary

PlayStation is seeking a Latin-American Spanish Localization Tester for a 12-month rolling contract based in Liverpool, UK. Responsibilities include quality assurance of software products post-localization, reporting language bugs via a bug tracking database, performing confirmation testing in multiple languages, proofreading and correcting translations, ensuring quality and consistency of localized assets, making direct fixes to language text assets, assisting other test and engineering teams, contributing to project tasks, and occasionally providing in-house translations or assisting with packaging text translation. The ideal candidate is a native Latin-American Spanish speaker with fluent English proficiency.

Latin-American Spanish Localisation Tester - 12 Month rolling contract facilitated via our staffing partner DZX.

Please note this role will be office based.

Quality assurance of assigned software products throughout QA test phase.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Test software once localised assets have been implemented in-game.
  • Report all language bugs found through test phase in a clear, concise and effective manner via the bug tracking database.
  • Perform confirmation testing in one or more languages when required.
  • Proof-read and correct translations provided by external companies for software product.
  • Ensure that quality, accuracy and consistency is maintained throughout Localised assets tools / game / manual.
  • Where needed make fixes directly to language text assets.
  • Assist other Test Services teams and Engineering Services team with general testing duties when required.
  • Assist with project and process related tasks.
  • Occasionally provide in-house translations.
  • Assist occasionally in the translation work for the packaging text for console and peripherals as well as for the Authorised Names for PlayStation components.
