Peripherals Licensing Account Manager

Location: London / Hybrid

About the Role:

As a Peripherals Licensing Account Manager, you'll collaborate with third-party companies to bring innovative peripherals to life, enhancing the PlayStation experience across all our platforms. This role is all about forging new partnerships and nurturing existing ones with top gaming accessory brands. You'll be driving revenue growth, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs), and supporting SIE's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll take ownership of assigned licensee accounts, with responsibilities including:

  • Strategic Planning, Business Management & Product Roadmap Development: Lead and grow the licensing business by creating and executing strategic plans for assigned licensee accounts. Work closely with licensees and internal teams to define product roadmaps for licensed third-party products.

  • Business Case Development and Approvals: Develop compelling business cases to support the licensing approval process for new peripheral products or categories. Guide these cases through SIE's greenlight process to gain the necessary approvals.

  • Deal Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate licensing deal terms with partners and collaborate with the SIE legal team to finalize agreements and contracts.

  • Licensed Product Development Support: Partner with licensees throughout the product development lifecycle. Provide guidance on licensed product guidelines, feedback on concepts, and participate in usability testing of prototypes. Work closely with SIE departments to gather feedback and secure approvals.

  • Assist with Licensing Operations: Support the licensing operations team with product approvals, revenue accounting, forecasting, and marketing efforts for assigned projects.

  • Deliver on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Focus on achieving KPIs such as licensing revenue growth, high media and user review ratings on platforms like Amazon.com, and increasing the attach rate and market share of licensed peripherals.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Background in Business, Engineering, or Marketing is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in licensing, business development, product management, product marketing, or related fields
  • Understanding of the consumer electronics product development lifecycle
  • Strong business acumen and experience with contract negotiations
  • Knowledge of gaming peripherals market trends and competitive landscape
  • Ability to use consumer and market research data to create strategic plans and product roadmaps
  • Strategic thinker with a global perspective who can assess priorities and identify core licensing needs
  • Excellent process management skills; ability to manage multiple projects across different regions under tight deadlines
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to influence decisions across diverse teams
  • Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels, across cross-functional and global teams
  • Success in this role requires a blend of commercial insight, analytical skills, negotiation expertise, and outstanding communication skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Additional Considerations:

This role involves working closely with global and local teams, which may require international travel and participating in calls during early or late hours due to time zone differences.
