Must have:

5+ years experience in consumer electronics development
Familiar with Electronic Engineering, Embedded Software Engineering, Android BSP Development
Experience with smartphone/smartwatch motherboard design, complex SoC system schematic capture, MIPI, PCIe, smartphone/XR chipsets
Strong C/C++ programming skills for development, debugging, testing, and performance analysis
Experience with building software for Android systems on custom SoCs
Experience with BSP/Board Support Package, Operating Systems, Android OS, RTOS, Bootloader, Power Management, Graphics and Display Drivers, MCU

Good to have:

Strong understanding of complex SoC motherboard schematic capture (smartwatch/smartphone experience)
Experience migrating Android to customized SoC boards and bringing up complex Android SoC systems
Experience with power modeling and power saving on complex SoC systems

About Team: PICO is a leading VR/AR platform with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, focusing on VR all-in-one technology. PICO is committed to offering immersive and interactive VR experiences to our customers, including providing tailor-made solutions for our enterprise clients in the fields of education and healthcare. Responsibilities - Face the challenge of system-level embedded-system prototyping for future XR products,including ultra-futuristic AR glasses and ultra-advanced MR headsets. Familiar with at least 2 subjects in the following: Electronic Engineering, Embedded Software Engineering, Android BSP Development. - Lead end-to-end prototyping development, including early architecture requirements, key components selection, sensors selection, electronic architecture, implementation, debug, embedded system bringing up and supporting electronics and software teams on algorithm development on systems. - Lead motherboard prototyping, validation and function testings. Lead firmware coding and broad functions bring up. Hands-on electronics development, full-system schematic capture, PCB designs, Flex designs and board bring-up. Own schematic capture of early AR/VR prototypes mainboards, daughterboards and all flexes. - Prototype closely with industrial designers, optical engineers, mechanical engineers, SoC engineers, human factor engineers and software engineers for optimized outcomes.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. - 5 years industrial experience in consumer electronics development. - Familiar with at least 2 subjects in the following: Electronic Engineering, Embedded Software Engineering, Android BSP Development. - For Electronic Engineering, familiar with smartphone or smartwatch motherboard design, complex SoC system schmatic capture, MIPI, PCIe, smartphone chipsets, XR chipsets. - For Embedded Software Engineering, familiar with programming in C/C++ for development, debugging, testing and performance analysis, familiar with building software for Android systems on custom SoCs. - For Android BSP Development, familiar with one or more of the following areas: BSP/Board Support Package, Operating Systems, Android OS, RTOS, Bootloader, Power Management, Graphics and Display Drivers, MCU. Preferred Qualifications - Very familiar with complex SoC motherboard schematic capture, for example smartwatch or smartphone schematic capture. - Very familiar with migrating Android to a customized SoC board. Very familiar with bringing up complex Android SoC systems. - Very familiar with power modeling and power saving on complex SoC systems. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $126000 - $306000 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
