Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Game Operations Director to join our team and lead strategic initiatives that drive both product performance and long-term growth. You will work closely with the extended Leadership team to ensure that our development priorities align closely with our broader business goals, and you will be responsible for refining processes, improving cross-functional collaboration, and implementing initiatives to enhance productivity and impact.
 

As Game Operations Director, you will lead a cross-functional team and play a key role in advancing our operational capabilities, establishing data-driven performance metrics, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This is a role for a strategic thinker and a proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a track record of operational excellence, and is passionate about optimizing product performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the extended leadership team to define and execute on the product organization’s strategic objectives, ensuring that the product roadmap and development priorities align with business goals and growth targets.

  • Establish OKRs, KPIs and other performance metrics that drive alignment on common priorities and focus across teams to deliver on growth targets.

  • Continuously analyze, refine, and optimize workflows, tools, and processes across the product organization to increase lead time to value, reduce bottlenecks, improve resource allocation and enhance productivity.

  • Proactively identify and monitor risks that could impact product development timelines, from technical challenges to resource gaps, and proactively develop mitigation strategies.

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to experiment, iterate, and implement feedback loops that enhance operational effectiveness.

  • Support organizational change initiatives and guide the team through transitions, enhancing their adaptability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

  • Oversee all people-related processes, including onboarding, performance management, and succession planning, to build and maintain a motivated, high-performing team.

  • Lead a cross-functional team with clear direction, priorities, and regular feedback, supporting growth through coaching, mentorship, and tailored development plans that align individual and business goals.
     

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in product management or product operations, with a track record of driving strategic and operational initiatives in a high-growth environment.

  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects, process improvements, in a complex organizational structure.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in data analysis, KPI development, setting OKRs and performance reporting.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and work effectively in a cross-functional team.

  • Proficiency with project management tools and data visualization/analytics platforms is highly desirable.

  • Passionate about gaming and creating great user experiences is highly desirable.

  • Experienced leader with a passion for building and leading high-performing, motivated teams while mentoring and nurturing individual growth.

  • Comfortable navigating and leading through change, managing uncertainty, and helping teams adapt to evolving business needs and priorities.
