Who will you be working with?
As a Data engineer you will work in close collaboration with Data Analysts, Platform Engineers, and Game Engineers to create state-of-the-art, reliable and scalable pipelines for processing data from various internal and external sources. We need your expertise to enable us to make more data-informed decisions as a company.

What will you be doing?

<li>Building, maintaining, and operating batch and streaming pipelines to ingest data into BigQuery from various sources: in-game tracking events, backend services, website analytics, advertising outlets, Discord, etc.</li>
<li>Implementing automated data testing within our pipelines to address and mitigate data quality issues, ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and trustworthiness of our business-critical KPIs.</li>
<li>Collaborating closely with Data Analysts to ensure they have the necessary tools and data sets to produce actionable insights.</li>
<li>Working with Platform Engineers to evolve our data infrastructure practices in line with our broader cloud infrastructure strategy on Google Cloud Platform.</li>
<li>Partnering with software engineers across the organization to help them adopt best practices for integrating with our data pipelines. </li>

<li>Experience in building and operating data pipelines in a production environment.</li>
<li>Experience with Google Cloud Platform’s data services, or the willingness to learn based on experience with comparable cloud providers like AWS or Azure.</li>

<li>Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks, including experience with tools like dbt or Apache Airflow.</li>
