Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We are currently looking to hire a Sr. Associate, Information Security for a financial client located in Indianapolis, IN.
This is a 6+ month contract opportunity with a hybrid work model, requiring 3 days per week onsite. As the Sr. Associate, Information Security, you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of the Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) program. This role focuses on IAM governance, security operations, compliance, and risk management, ensuring a robust and effective security framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee IAM governance tasks, including quality reviews, audits, access certifications, and policy updates
- Collaborate with IT, compliance, and security teams to implement and maintain security controls and best practices
- Monitor Qualys for vulnerabilities, create remediation tasks in Azure DevOps (ADO), and track progress
- Communicate SailPoint updates to the IAM Operations team and ensure timely reporting of metrics
- Support RBAC operations, user access controls, security monitoring, compliance, and incident response
- Utilize Excel for role-based access analysis, impact assessments, and reporting using pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Work with the SailPoint team to expand monitoring capabilities and enforce policy violations
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong understanding of information security principles, IAM, and risk management frameworks
- Experience with security policies, standards, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) for data analysis and reporting
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess security issues and propose solutions
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-2 years of experience in information security, IAM, or compliance (willing to train the right candidate)
- Knowledge of RBAC frameworks and best practices
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or similar are a plus
