Senior Frontend Engineer

Job Title: Frontend Engineer (React)- Senior.

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Location: Bangalore, India. Full Time - Office

Key Relationships: Marketing, Support, Engineering, Product.

Work Hours: European Time Zone.

Job Purpose:

To architect, develop, and maintain features and tools fueling the e-commerce logistics revolution at Easyship. Continuously optimize the performance and structure of our Front-end applications and drive continuous change through all our products. Our tech stack includes Typescript, React, Axios/TanStack Query, Tailwind, Vite/Vitest/react-testing-library

What you’ll do:

• Drive the entire product life cycle: From concept and design to feasibility discussions, deployment and maintenance, you’ll have a hand in creating our products.
• Work on high-impact projects: You’ll contribute to strategic initiatives, including a migration from AngularJS to React, shaping the future of our front-end architecture.
• Contribute to continuous improvement: Be part of a team that’s always seeking ways to improve our codebase, performance, and user experience.
• Conduct code reviews: Ensure high standards of code quality and mentor others through constructive feedback.
• Product development: Play a key role in the development of new features and products.
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including back-end engineers, designers, QA engineers and product managers, to prioritize features and solve complex technical challenges.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers: Share your knowledge and help less experienced team members grow their skills.
• Innovate and optimize: Seek opportunities to improve codebase efficiency, security, and scalability.

Who you are:

• Strong software development experience: You bring 5+ years of solid experience with React web development, with a passion for writing clean, maintainable, component-based code. Experience with Angular is a nice-to-have as we’re phasing it out.
• Skilled in scalable systems: You have a track record of building and maintaining highly scalable and performant applications in a production environment.
• Security-minded: You prioritize security and data privacy in every aspect of your work.
• Git and collaboration tools: You are very comfortable with Git, GitHub, and modern project management tools, and understand how to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
• Startup/scale-up experience: You thrive in fast-paced environments, having worked in product teams at startups or scale-ups.
• Learner mindset: You stay up-to-date with industry trends and continuously seek to improve your skills and knowledge.
