Job Description

As Head of Sales, Germany, you'll lead a team of 500+ across Germany, reporting to the Regional Director. Responsibilities include developing and executing sales and delivery strategies, driving market share growth and profitability, hiring and developing teams, setting operational standards, and ensuring daily operational excellence. You'll need experience leading large teams in a high-growth service industry, a proven track record of success, strong leadership and communication skills, and fluency in German and English. The role is based in Berlin and requires extensive travel within Germany.

What to Expect

As the Country Manager Sales & Delivery, you will be at the forefront of our operations in Germany, responsible for shaping the sales and delivery strategy while ensuring daily operational excellence. You will hire, train, and develop effective teams, shape and execute operational standards, and work cross-functionally to develop business planning and the regional strategy. Ultimately, the Country Manager Sales & Delivery is accountable for growing market shares across all product lines, driving brand awareness, and increasing profitability within Germany.

In this role you are leading a team of 500+ talented individuals across Germany, and report directly to our Regional Director DACH & CEE. 

Note that this position is based out of Berlin, and entails a high amount of travelling within the country. 

What You’ll Do
  • Lead, develop, coach and motivate high-performing teams
  • Reinforce a culture of leadership and team excellence: training standards, succession planning, talent acquisition and employee retention
  • Set clear targets and plans on Customer Service, market sales and delivery pipelines; hold teams accountable by driving performance management with local leadership
  • Develop and execute daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly strategies to hit targets and drive profitability
  • Develop and reinforce high operational standards by coaching through and reinforcing targets
  • Maintain and reinforce Safety and Security standards by partnering with EH&S, Workplace and Security teams
  • Create a continuous improvement culture by actively collecting feedback, testing strategies, and improving vehicle and customer flow in each sales and delivery location
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience leading large teams (50+, including management layers) in a high-growth, service-focused industry with multi-site experience
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, influence, and hold teams accountable to achieve a common goal
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and adhere to business-critical deadlines
  • Innovative and unfazed by change, hungry to learn, resourceful, and effective at using data, logic, and instincts to identify problems and execute solutions
  • Successful history of building relationships; evidence of being a well-respected, trusted partner with a dedicated and ethical approach to management and operations
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication, and sales skills
  • Passion for Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy

In addition, this role requires fluency in German and English, as well as a valid Driver’s license.
