Enphase Energy seeks a Hands-On QA Engineer for its Cloud and Digital team to deliver high-quality cloud and mobile applications. Responsibilities include owning the complete quality of the system under test, designing high-quality test cases, designing test frameworks for different application layers, adding automated tests, acting as a quality gatekeeper, defining and executing non-functional tests, debugging issues, driving quality metrics, analyzing test progress, and improving test case designs. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience testing high-scale applications with distributed architecture, excellent programming skills, and experience in negative testing. Experience with functional (Web, Mobile, API) testing, Selenium/Appium/Java, and API automation testing is highly desirable. The role requires a quality mindset, understanding of processes and tools, and a continuous improvement mindset. System-level experience with IoT-based product lines is highly desirable. The role involves working in an agile environment and contributing to continuous development and testing.
Must have:
- 2+ years experience in software development/testing

- Understanding of cloud, databases, and performance tradeoffs
Good to have:

About the role:
For our Cloud and Digital team, we are seeking a Hands-On QA Engineer who can help Enphase in delivering high quality Cloud and Mobile Based Applications. Experience with functional (Web, Mobile, API) is a must for this role. Experience with Wed and Mobile automation using Selenium/Appium/Java, and API automation testing is good to have for this role. Quality mindset with good understanding of processes and tools with continuous improvement mindset is required. System Level Experience with IOT based product line is highly desirable.
Be responsible for quality of entire application suite offered by Enphase to large customer base and mentor/manage the team of QA engineers/leads to enable Enphase supersede Customer Expectations. Enable Enphase to succeed in the market by building high quality bug free applications for various stakeholders of the company including Customer Support, homeowners, and installers.
What you will do:
- Own the complete quality ownership of the system under test .
- Able to design test cases that are of high quality which helps improving quality of the system .
- Help team to design good test cases, review their work and give feedback .
- Design test framework for different layers of the application.
- Add automated tests on web services, database and UI layer.
- Be the gate keeper on the quality of the product .
- Define, write, and execute non-functional tests and analyze results.
- Debug the issues and help developers to design the best software product.
- Drive quality metrics on system under test, be responsible for quality of the system.
- Analyse the tests, progress of the tests and report to the management on the quality of the system on day-to-day basis .
- Improvise the test case designs, negative tests, repeatability tests, data validation, impact and risk-based testing.
- Able to work on agile, early to market without any compromise on quality .
- Able to work on continuous development and continuous testing
- Help team to setup pipeline which executes automated test based on schedule, on-demand
Who you are and what you bring:
- BE/BTech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience .
- 2+ years of experience in software development/testing.
- 2+ years of experience testing high scale applications with distributed architecture.
- Excellent programming skills and ability to debug issues at the code level, development experience is an added advantage.
- Experience in negative testing.
- Provide out of box solution to deliver quality in a fast-paced development organization.
- Strong understanding of cloud, databases, and performance tradeoffs .
- Go-getter attitude and capable of pursuing tough engineering challenges to final solutions.
- Lean / Agile attitude.
- Proactive and results-oriented.
- Team player/builder; possess a “can-do” attitude.
- Experience in providing estimates, plan and committed to deliverables.
- Experience as software testing of cloud and digital SW is a plus.
- Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning are a plus.
