Job Description

As a Jr. QA Engineer at Forescout, you'll be part of the Compatibility team, testing their Network Access Control (NAC) product suite. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining manual and automated test suites; analyzing and reporting software defects; executing end-to-end, integration, and sanity testing; creating technical documentation; and testing new functionalities and defect fixes. You will collaborate with product, development, and QA engineers, translating system requirements into test cases. The role involves testing on-premise solutions, third-party devices, and software integrations across Windows and Linux systems.
Must have:
  • 0-2 years QA experience in network/endpoint security
  • Experience testing network security products
  • Hands-on with Linux, Python, SQL, databases
  • Troubleshooting software and network issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Good to have:
  • Java knowledge
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, HPE devices
  • VMware, Hyper-V, KVM experience
  • Networking skills (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP, 802.1x)
  • Agile experience

What You Will Do 
 
If you are highly professional and passionate about exploring our impressive NAC product, come join the Forescout Compatibility team as a QA Engineer and take part in defining and driving the future worldwide market-leading product suite that consists of Network Access Control, Endpoint Compliance, Mobile Control, and Intrusion Prevention.  Applications range from Client/Server to Web for a Network Access Control solution, running on both Windows and Linux systems.
 
  • Testing on-premise Forescout solution software suite along with third-party devices including network/switch devices, endpoint compliance, and software integrations
  • Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test suites
  • Analyze and report defects on software to improve conformance, stability, and supportability
  • Execute end-to-end-testing, integration testing, sanity testing, create documents, use cases, design, and other technical documents
  • Test defect fixes and new functionality as required
  • Work closely with product, development, and other quality assurance engineers on testing processes and execution
  • Translate system requirements and specs to test cases
What You Bring To Forescout 
 
  • 0-2 years of experience in software quality assurance in network and/or endpoint security
  • Experience testing network security product like firewall, intrusion prevention systems, and SIEM solution, are highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience with Linux, Python, SQL, and database with working knowledge of Java a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software and network issues logically and analytically
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and debugging techniques
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and or HPE network devices is recommended
  • Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM is recommended
  • Networking skills including good understanding of TCP/IP, knowledge in protocols (DNS, SMTP, SNMP, DHCP, 802.1x), familiarity with network equipment configuration (switch/router/firewall), low-level network monitoring and sniffing (sniffers experience), and Windows-based networks with domain management a plus
  • Agile experience a plus
