As a Digital Media Producer, you’ll have the chance to bring your passion for news, politics, science, and weather to life by developing engaging, original content for some of the most influential platforms. If you’re a creative storyteller with a strong grasp of social media trends and digital production, this role could be the perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce highly shareable original content for platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
- Stay up-to-date on societal trends, creating fresh and innovative content ideas that capture attention.
- Attend daily Content Strategy Sessions and independently pitch and produce original digital content.
- Collaborate with reporters and anchors to create native social content.
- Mentor junior team members in all aspects of development, production, and community management.
- Coordinate with local news teams on coverage plans during breaking news or major events.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Film/Television/Video Production/Journalism (or minor in Graphic Design).
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in video production, including concept development and post-production.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and other creative software.
- On-camera experience and a dynamic personality that engages audiences.
- Exceptional spelling, grammar, and a keen eye for detail in content creation.
- A strong understanding of social media trends, with a focus on vertical video editing.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to adjust to shifting news cycles and deadlines.
- Willing to work outside of traditional hours depending on the needs of the story.
