The Audio/Music Manager partners with Story Producers to help manage and coordinate the audio and music process within Theatres, Film, and Brand.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Audio team.
  • Oversee and support audio and music projects as they move through the production process from concept to delivery.
  • Partners with Story Producers to create timelines and execution of projects.
  • Gives oversight to audio and music planning, resource needs, and production process.
  • Anticipate and respond to needs and requests from internal teams and project producers.
  • Contribute by moving between different roles on different projects (between leading, supporting, executing, designing, etc.).
  • Coordinate with the Production & Story Project Manager for licensing documentation related to Sight & Sound’s original music or use of licensed music in our productions.
  • Coordinate with the Production & Story Project Manager for contracts or Work For Hire agreements within the Audio Department.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Prerequisites

  • Excellent organization, planning, and communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with varying and changing needs.
  • Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Extensive knowledge of audio processes.
  • Ability to navigate and fully understand the production/post-production workflow.
  • Knowledge of music composition.
