Front End Developer

We’re currently seeking a Front End Developer for a leading financial information and analytics company. This 12-month, hybrid contract role will give you the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team in Peck Slip, NY, as you contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of both frontend and backend components.

About the Opportunity
As a Front End Developer, you will be a key member of the Development team, responsible for creating and optimizing efficient, scalable, and reliable code for a variety of applications. You'll have the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies such as React and Nest.js, while ensuring an exceptional user experience and delivering high-quality solutions. Your contributions will support both frontend user interfaces and backend services, with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for both frontend and backend components.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement and maintain state-of-the-art user interfaces using React, ensuring an excellent user experience.
• Develop and optimize server-side applications using Nest.js, with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the code.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across the entire stack, from frontend UI to backend services.
• Work with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/delivery tools.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, providing recommendations for improvements and innovation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience); Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• At least 8 years of proven experience as a ReactJS Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing ReactJS and Node.js projects.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies, including React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong knowledge of server-side technologies, particularly Nest.js/Express/Fastify.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and best practices.
• Solid understanding of version control, particularly Git.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week, and the assignment must be at least 10 weeks long.
