Job Description

As an Area Sales Manager - EDC Retail Mid-Market at Paytm, you will be responsible for acquiring key merchants (large standalone accounts, multiple stores/MID accounts, city/regional chains) for payment solutions. This includes new account acquisition, account management of existing accounts, building and maintaining relationships, ensuring high quality onboarding, and managing and motivating KAMs. You will also handle retention and cross-selling of other Paytm products. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong sales and negotiation skills, experience in managing key accounts, and a passion for working in a fast-growing firm. The role involves handling cold calling, pre-sales activities, and lead generation.

About Us: Paytm is India’s leading digital payments and financial services company, which is focused on driving consumers and merchants to its platform by offering them a variety of payment use cases. Paytm provides consumers with services like utility payments and money transfers, while empowering them to pay via Paytm Payment Instruments (PPI) like Paytm Wallet, Paytm UPI, Paytm Payments Bank Net banking, Paytm FASTag and Paytm Postpaid - Buy Now, Pay Later. To merchants, Paytm offers acquiring devices like Soundbox, EDC, QR and Payment Gateway where payment aggregation is done through PPI and also other banks’ financial instruments. To further enhance merchants’ business, Paytm offers merchants commerce services through advertising and Paytm Mini app store. Operating on this platform leverage, the company then offers credit services such as merchant loans, personal loans and BNPL, sourced by its financial partners.

About the team: EDC Retail – EDC is one of Paytm‘s business tool to help merchant grow and manage their business through simplicity and data driven technology.

About the role:
*New Account acquisition for Paytm payments solution (Only key outlets to be onboarded).
*Account Management of provided base Visit accounts, build & maintain relationships.
*Acquisition quality onboarded accounts are engaged with Paytm.
*Handle the on-roll KAMs and motivate them for better sales.
*Responsible for acquiring key merchants (Large standalone account, multiple stores/MID account, city/regional chains) for payment solutions.
*Responsible for the retention and cross-sales of other products.
*Candidates having experience in managing key accounts would be preferred.
