Your Role with Us:
As our Accountant, you’ll support senior team members to ensure the seamless operation of our family office. Your responsibilities will include managing the accounting for four operating entities, handling reconciliations, and assisting with various financial functions across the portfolio. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail and proactive approach will shine, making you an essential part of the team’s success.

Please Note: We believe in the value of in-person collaboration! This is a full-time, on-site position at our Melbourne CBD office, where you’ll work closely with our dynamic team to drive innovation and growth.

What you will do:

• Manage daily and month-end processes, including journals, bank accounts, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable reconciliations, daily bank reconciliations, and intercompany loan reconciliations.
• Handle treasury, cash flow management, and forecasting.
• Assist with year-end reporting, planning, and compliance, including tax and statutory lodgements.
• Compile and upload weekly payments for approval, and prepare payroll for associated entities.
• Collaborate with external advisors on compliance matters.
• Update investment reporting (valuations, position reconciliations) and assist with stakeholder reporting.
• Manage internal queries and ensure efficient document management and record-keeping.

What you will bring:

• CA Qualified
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a similar accounting role
• Strong proficiency in using Xero for financial management and reporting

Bonus points if you also have:

• Family Office experience
• Sports & Gambling knowledge advantageous
• Cryptocurrency knowledge would be advantageous
• Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Jira
