The VP, Ad Sales & Sponsorship Operations will be a critical strategic partner to the EVP, Sales & Sponsorships, driving efficiency and success for the Exosphere advertising and Sphere Sponsorships sales team. Responsibilities include developing and managing sales processes, measurement, and reporting; market analysis; CRM implementation; and executive reporting. This role will collaborate extensively with various departments, including Client Service, Account Management, Integrated Marketing, Finance, and Legal, to optimize revenue and content production. The VP will also design and implement a comprehensive measurement strategy for the Exosphere platform and oversee fulfillment processes to improve efficiency. This position requires experience in media/advertising, strong operational skills, and the ability to lead complex projects and influence diverse stakeholders.

Who are we hiring?

The VP, Ad Sales & Sponsorships Operations will play a critical role in driving efficiency and success of the Exosphere advertising and Sphere Sponsorships sales team. A critical strategic thought partner to EVP, Sales & Sponsorships, this role will develop, oversee and manage sales processes, measurement, and reporting to drive our strategy and optimize revenue. This includes market analysis, prospecting, CRM, business intelligence, and executive reporting.

This role will also partner with the Client Service and Account Management functions supporting the Exosphere business. As part of this, the VP Exosphere Sales Operations will analyze our fulfillment process and identify and implement refinements and optimizations. This role will own and implement our measurement strategy for the Exosphere platform including what is delivered to advertisers and to internal stakeholders to inform new content and programming strategies to optimize.

The VP, Exosphere Operations will be a key representative of the Sphere Business Operations team cross-functionally across the organization – partnering with Sponsorship and Exosphere Sales & Account Management, Integrated Marketing, Finance, Creative & Design Services  Legal, and Strategic Alliances across our key objectives of driving advertising revenue and efficient content production. As appropriate, the role will interface with external vendors to support our data & measurement strategy.

This role with report to SVP, Business Operations & Insights .

What will you do?

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve sales processes, workflows, and best practices to drive sales effectiveness and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with EVP, Sales & Sponsorships to align strategies, set goals, and streamline operational procedures
  • Provide strategic thought partnership to EVP, Sales & Sponsorships across the business including understanding the third party advertising ecosystem, value chain and incentives to best align our products/strategy with maximizing revenue
  • Partner with Data & Analytics team on implementation of CRM system to ensure data integrity, accuracy and cleanliness
  • Develop reporting strategy to keep sales managers up to date on performance
  • Develop and implement comprehensive measurement strategy to effectively arm the Sales & Account Management teams to articulate value delivered from our products, and drive internal strategy on how to evolve and innovate our products over time. This includes building relationships with relevant third party measurement firms, and applies to both Exosphere advertising and our sponsorship assets
  • Collaborate with Client Service and Creative & Design services on analyzing fulfillment process and identifying opportunities to refine and optimize to drive efficiency. This role will maintain the end-to-end process for our Sponsorship and Advertising products
  • Partner with VP Integrated Marketing on go-to-market strategy including, evolution of our products, packages and pricing
  • Partner with leadership across the Sphere Sponsorship & Exosphere organization in developing and tracking progress against their overall strategy and business plan
  • Provide ongoing training to business stakeholders to ensure adherence to operating models/processes. Ensure that onboarding and training in department is aligned with broader Business Operations and Company goals and values

What do you need to succeed?

  • 10+ years of work experience
  • Professional services and/or business operations experience preferred
  • Familiarity with the media / advertising industry, understanding basic terminology and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively and collaboratively across different functions and levels in a matrixed organization
  • Ability to break ambiguous issues into multiple manageable workstreams and execute
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, project management and time management skills required
  • Experience leading complex projects including influencing, challenging and providing direction to diverse stakeholders to ensure alignment on solutions that are right for the business
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment as new situations and initiatives arise and able to work independently when necessary and use sound business judgment.

Pay Range
$270,000$325,000 USD
