Avalanche Studios Group is looking for a passionate and skilled UX/UI Designer. At Avalanche Studios Group you will work with some of the industry’s most exciting technology and talented individuals. As a UX/UI Designer, you will be collaborating with other disciplines & product owners to ensure quality, usability, consistency, and compliance across all deliverables. You will create deliverables including but not limited to: user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs and prototypes to communicate vision and strategy.
We are looking for someone who has a fluency in a variety of design crafts (UX, UI, Design Systems, Prototyping) as well as expert proficiency in industry standard design tools. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of inclusive design practices and is capable and a strong understanding of best practices in open world action gameplay design UX.
To be considered for this role you need a portfolio showcasing your skills and examples of your work.
What you'll do:
- Apply conceptual thinking while considering user-needs, experience goals and technical feasibility
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are met and implemented
- Work with project managers to fill out design criteria in JIRA and ensure requirements are outlined for development
- Regularly seek out and incorporate feedback into iterative UX/UI improvements
- Collaborate and communicate regularly with other discipline partners
- Be an advocate for Player-First, Fun-First, thinking within design
Who you are:
- Years of experience of in-depth UX/UI design experience in development teams, preferably from the gaming industry
- Ability to create UI assets to releasable quality
- Strategic design thinking, processes and design system related work experience
- Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Understands and advocates for the importance of data-driven decisions
- A drive for designing engaging game mechanics while reducing player frustration and unnecessary complexity.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience articulating design strategy
- Continually strive to exceed expectations
