Description

AVER is a fast-growing SDVOSB that has achieved significant revenue growth over the past 5 plus years with much of our work focused on Data Analytics, Mission Support, IT Modernization and Biometrics. We are seeking a savvy SQL/BI Developer to execute data mining analysis. Responsible for the design and execution of complex SQL queries to extract, cleanse, and transfer datasets. Report directly to Manager of Data Analytics and Reporting, our BI Developer will utilize internal and external data to produce reports. Expertise in specification-driven development, coding, quality checking, validating, analyzing, and visualizing data that drives results, encourages strategic decision making, improves quality outcomes, and provides answers to population health questions. Responsibilities Include: 
  • Extract data using complex programming languages 
  • Manage file load and transfer process of external datasets 
  • Provide reporting support for the Maryland contract deliverables 
  • Program and write queries and reports 
  • Develops and executes data mining analyses 
  • Develops new and standard reports utilizing data warehouse information 
  • Establishes and maintains strong knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, related programming languages, and data integrity issues  
Education Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Economics, Data Analysis, Information Systems, Finance, Informatics, IT of a related data centric field required  
Experience Requirements: 
  • 2+ years of experience in Data Analytics developing advanced Oracle SQL queries and scripts 
  • Experience with SQL for data extraction, query and report writing, managing file load and transfer processes, and execution of complex data mining analyses 
  • Must possess an understanding of data warehouse database design and data definitions, system capabilities, and be able to address data integrity issues as they arise 
  • Experience with standard Business Intelligence tools and complex programming/query languages required 
  • Experience with extracting, transforming and loading data  
  • Experience with relational databases design and tuning
  • Knowledge of Power BI for the development of standardized reporting and legacy report rebuilding 
Desired Requirements:  
  • 2+ years of years of experience in Data Analytics developing advanced Oracle SQL queries and scripts preferred
  • Experience with SQL for data extraction, query and report writing, managing file load and transfer processes, and execution of complex data mining analyses
  • Experience with behavioral health industry
  • Experience with SAP Webi for ad-hoc reporting and report creation 
  • Experience utilizing claims, authorization, eligibility, and pharmacy-based data
  • Ability to collaborate across functional teams
  • Ability to plan/schedule/communicate/manage time sensitive deliverables
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Must be detail oriented and self-starting and statistically savvy
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills 
Location:          
  • HYBRID (On site one day per week in Hanover, MD)
