ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Senior R&D Engineer at Virtuos, you will contribute to designing and optimizing production tools for video game assets and resources, enhancing the development process with innovative solutions.

• Establish and Enforce UI/UX Best Practices: Develop and maintain UI/UX best practices and standards across projects. 
• Design and develop responsive web applications using web technologies of HTML and JavaScript, CSS frameworks (e.g. VueJS, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS). 
• Work with architect to design cloud-based frontend architecture.
• Ensure the quality of frontend source code, design, guide and develop test cases.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, and production teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions, while staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in web application development to continuously improve project outcomes.

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, and VueJS is essential. 
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and Web Services: Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, and a comprehensive understanding of web protocols and architecture.
• Strong Analytical and Problem-solving Skills: Good at troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing code for performance and scalability. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to software development.
• Team Collaboration: Experience working in agile development teams and effective at cross-functional collaboration.
• Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. An IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent is required to ensure proficiency in English, facilitating clear and effective communication in a global team environment. 
• Knowledge of websocket and canvas is a plus.
• Experienced on Cloud, understanding Public Cloud concept(AWS/GCP/Azure) and  hands-on experience on services like AWS CloudFront, API Gateway, Route53, load balancer etc. or similar services in GCP/Azure is preferred.
• Understanding of Frontend CI/CD, eg. AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, Gitlab runner etc is a plus.
• Knowledge in modern browsers image rendering, downloading queue, sync/async and performance optimization is a plus.
