Job Description
The QA Architect at Xsolla will lead and shape the quality assurance strategy for its innovative products. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a robust QA strategy aligned with the product roadmap, designing scalable QA processes, creating and maintaining testing frameworks (functional, performance, security, usability), collaborating with engineering and product teams, mentoring QA engineers, and staying updated on industry trends. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in designing testing frameworks, automation testing tools (Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD), and Agile methodologies. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential.

ABOUT YOU
The QA Architect will lead and shape the quality assurance strategy for Xsolla's innovative products and solutions. As a pivotal member of the team, you will define testing frameworks, establish best practices, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software. This role requires a visionary mindset to elevate the QA function and align it with the company's evolving objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement a robust QA strategy, aligning with Xsolla’s product roadmap and engineering goals. Advocate for quality standards and influence cross-functional teams to embed a quality-first mindset.
- Process Optimization: Design and enhance scalable QA processes, methodologies, and tools. Introduce automation-first practices to ensure rapid delivery cycles without compromising quality.
- Technical Expertise: Create and maintain testing frameworks for functional, performance, security, and usability testing. Collaborate with development teams to ensure CI/CD pipelines incorporate comprehensive automated test coverage.
- Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Work closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to define and refine testing requirements. Mentor QA engineers and guide them in adopting advanced testing tools, techniques, and methodologies.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies in QA and software development. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve overall product quality and efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in a QA leadership role, preferably as a QA Architect, Lead QA Engineer, or similar.
- Expertise in designing and implementing testing frameworks and strategies.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.) and integrating QA processes into pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycles, Agile methodologies, and modern testing practices.
- Familiarity with performance and security testing tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
