As a Powertrain Systems Integration Intern within the Powertrain Engineering Organization at Zoox, you will have an opportunity to work with a team of Zoox engineers on Zoox’s ground up electric autonomous vehicle high voltage powertrain components, controls systems and HW/SW integrations. You will be learning several aspects of HV powertrain component design, integration and interaction of these complex systems, helping the team automate the test assets (e.g writing test scripts, building test setups).

Technical Qualifications & Language Requirements

Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Strong fundamentals in Electrical Engineering Core Concepts, Vehicle CAN/LIN/Ethernet Communication and Controls, High Voltage Engineering, Analog and Digital Circuit Design
Knowledge in Microcontroller Operation Theory and Firmware Development Language (e.g C/C++, automating with Python)
Strong communication and organizational skills

Bonus Qualifications

FSAE/Baja experience (or equivalent project experience)
Familiarity with Electric Vehicle High Voltage Powertrain Architecture, Low Voltage Architecture and Vehicle Behaviors

Compensation

The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
