As a Senior Quest Designer at Guerrilla, you'll collaborate on building engaging gameplay experiences within rich, open worlds.  Responsibilities include designing and implementing story-critical quests, working with narrative teams, developing compelling combat scenarios, and collaborating with various departments.  You will utilize 3D world-building tools and scripting, iterating on designs based on playtesting.  The role requires proficiency in narrative design, level design, and scripting, with a focus on creating immersive and challenging gameplay.

<h3>Our Quest Design Team</h3>
Our Quest Designers build exciting, challenging gameplay spaces that help tell powerful stories in rich, dynamic open worlds. We split our time between building the story critical gameplay of the main quest, and working with the narrative team to design and develop the quests that bring life to the worlds of our games. The discipline at Guerrilla has three pillars: narrative design (not writing), level design, and scripting. Our Quest team collaborates with almost all other departments in the company, and is at the center of development on our games.
<h3>What you will do</h3>
As a Quest Designer, you can expect to:
<ul>
<li>Build ground-breaking, innovative gameplay experiences that immerse players in the story;</li>
<li>Own your ideas: build, script and polish them from concept through final implementation;</li>
<li>Blockmesh level designs that astonish, challenge, and engage players in a variety of ways;</li>
<li>Design and build interesting combat scenarios and activities for both single-player and multiplayer experiences;</li>
<li>Cooperate with the entire design team and other departments to maximize use of existing game systems, and support the needs of fellow developers;</li>
<li>Work with the lead quest designer to shape the type of quests we build, and how we do so;</li>
<li>Based on our play-test driven development schedule, focus on iteration and polishing of quests and missions.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Who you are</h3>
We'd love to hear from you if you:
<ul>
<li>Have 5 or more years of experience as a Quest, Level, Content, or Mission Designer on projects similar in scope and complexity to those Guerrilla undertakes;</li>
<li>Have shipped at least two titles;</li>
<li>Have a passion for story-driven content in both single-player and multiplayer games;</li>
<li>Demonstrate proficiency in all three pillars of the role: narrative design, level design, and scripting. Mastery in at least one of these pillars is expected.</li>
<li>Are experienced with 3D world and level building tools and have a technical background in programming or scripting (visual editors preferred).</li>
</ul>

<li>Experience building story-driven online gameplay.</li>
<li>Experience prototyping interactive objects and novel activity gameplay.</li>
<li>Experience documenting process and tutorializing design tools.</li>
