Job Description

The Manager of IT at Skillz in Las Vegas will oversee a wide array of IT functions. Responsibilities include managing IT security, including SOX compliance; database and server support; project management; system architecture; data migration; and developing robust reporting methodologies. The role requires 7+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years in people management. Experience with automation and scripting, cybersecurity best practices, vendor negotiations, and contract management is essential. Bonus points for gaming industry experience or a strong passion for gaming. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a proactive mindset and ownership of processes.

Must have:

7+ years IT experience
2+ years people management
SOX Compliance
Cybersecurity best practices
Database & Server Support
Project Management

7+ years of experience in IT, with exposure to a wide array of functional areas of IT
2+ years of experience in People Management

Gaming industry experience (ideally). Alternatively - a strong passion for gaming + a deep understanding of our products.
Startup experience: Proven ability to thrive in a startup-like environment, with a proactive mindset, strong initiative, and a track record of taking ownership of analytics processes and driving results.
Healthy tenure: Demonstrated stability and commitment in previous roles, with a track record of staying in positions for 2 or more years. Internal promotions within organizations are highly valued, indicating strong career progression and contributions to company success.
Las Vegas local or willingness to relocate: Preference for candidates who are currently located in Las Vegas or willing to relocate to Vegas prior to start-date.
