31st Union seeks a dedicated Associate Character Artist to create high-end game characters for their new project, ETHOS. Responsibilities include creating high-poly and game-ready 3D character meshes from concept art, developing textures and shaders, and ensuring optimal in-game performance.  Collaboration with the Lead Artist, animators, and other team members is key.  The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing artistic and technical skills, proficiency in Maya (or 3ds Max/Blender), ZBrush, Substance Painter, Marmoset Toolbag, and Photoshop, and a deep understanding of human anatomy and character expression.

<p><strong>What we need:</strong></p>
<p>We are looking for a dedicated Associate Character Artist to join our team and bring expertise, motivation, and a mature abilities. They will define, develops, and maintains high-end-run game characters. The Character Artist works closely with the Lead Artist, Lead Animator, Lead Technical Art and Art Director, and also with animators and cinematic editors to create the best possible impression in the final game.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Create the best possible 3D character high-poly and game meshes from concept art and reference materials, character textures and shaders, clothing, hair, and styling</li>
<li>Adapt to the concept and art direction of the project</li>
<li>Make proper character topology to keep the finished models working well in-game</li>
<li>Self-education in terms of graphics and keeping track of the latest trends in the given field</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Portfolio demonstrating strong artistic abilities</li>
<li>Demonstrable knowledge of technical and artistic skills.</li>
<li>&nbsp;Knowledge of Maya (or 3ds Max or Blender), ZBrush, Substance Painter, Marmoset Toolbag and Photoshop</li>
<li>&nbsp;Knowledge of human anatomy, facial expressions, ability to capture personality</li>
<li>&nbsp;&nbsp;Knowledge of sculpting, drawing or painting in the classic technique</li>
<li>Advanced written and spoken English</li>
<li>Good communication skills</li>
</ul>

As a Staff Software Engineer (Java), you'll play a crucial role in developing and enhancing SonarQube and SonarCloud, our leading code quality and security tools. You'll work on features for enterprise plans, directly impacting the software we build. Your responsibilities include working closely with product managers and UX designers to define and develop new features, writing unit and integration tests, leading architecture design on AWS, owning team sprints, deploying and monitoring features in production, and contributing to the team's long-term goals.
