Front End Software Engineer

Description -

We are looking for a software engineer to join an agile team responsible to deliver amazing customer experiences to millions of users worldwide of a fast-growing service.

In this position you will be challenged to solve problems of diverse complexity and scope. We expect you to have the ability to handle most unique situations, exercising independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.

Responsibilities:

• Designs limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of end-user applications software running on web based platforms.
• Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines.
• Participates as a member of project team of other software applications engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned applications portion or subsystem.
• Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 2-4 years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Web frontend development (javascript, html5/css, react, angular, etc.).
• Designing and coding software applications running on multiple platforms
• Jenkins, Git
• Debugging, Test-Driven-Development, Unit Tests.
• Experience in Object Oriented design.
• Familiarity with Web development languages, protocols and tools (with Model-View-Controller).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
• Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.

Knowledge and Skills (desired):

• Knowledge of Jest, Enzyme or Testing Library (unit test), Selenium or other E2E test framework
• Cloud platforms architecture (AWS).
• Pair programming/XP development.
