The opportunity 

Magic Leap’s Engineering Services roles are comprised of engineers responsible for coordinating requirements across all of our AR products, programs, and customers.  Engineers in the Engineering Services organization collaborate across all Product Development & Engineering functions. They are responsible for research, design, development, quality assurance, reliability, and testing engineering duties across all the Product Development and Engineering sub-families.

As a Factory Test Engineering Services Partner within our Factory Test and Calibration Organization, you will be a key player in supporting technical operations. Your responsibilities will include asset management, documentation, logistics and planning, purchasing and vendor relations, lab ownership, and various daily initiatives critical to our success.

This role will be required to be onsite in our headquarters located in Plantation, FL. Relocation assistance may be available.

What you’ll do 

  • Manage lab operations, organization, and safety protocols.
  • Track and manage assets and inventory, including capital equipment and prototype devices.
  • Own bill-of-materials for assets and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate with vendors and handle purchasing, request-for-quotes, and invoices.
  • Oversee logistics, including shipping and receiving operations.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance efforts to ensure smooth operations.
  • Streamline and enhance administrative processes.
  • Coordinate projects and provide light project management support.
  • Provide daily operational support, including transaction processing and follow-ups.

The experience you bring

  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: asset management, logistics, warehouse operations, or lab management/administration.
  • Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience. We value your total professional experience and achievements.
  • Proven skills in inventory management and organization.
  • Experience in purchasing, logistics, and vendor relations.
  • General knowledge of computers, web applications, and tools.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) is preferred; MS Office is acceptable.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a quick learner of new tools and processes.

It’s exciting if you also have

  • Experience with database or spreadsheet-based asset management tools.
  • Familiarity with business applications like Ariba, JIRA, Confluence or WindChill.
  • Skills in generating and managing PDF documentation.
  • Previous experience working in a technical or engineering environment.
