We’re excited to partner with one of the world’s largest gaming and entertainment companies to hire a Capture Tech - Game Capture for a 6-month hybrid contract role in Santa Monica, CA.

As a Capture Tech - Game Capture, you will work closely with the Editing team, collaborating with game capture artists and capture directors to create high-quality footage for marketing purposes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about gaming and technical troubleshooting to bring their expertise to an exciting and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Capture Directors and artists by capturing in-game footage as a player actor for a variety of marketing assets.
• Serve as the go-to expert for game debug systems, managing commands and troubleshooting technical issues related to builds, PC workstations, and dev kits.
• Act as an Assistant Director (AD) during shoots, ensuring the accuracy of details such as loadouts, character pathing, and set decoration.
• Ensure smooth setup and operation of kits and game builds before and during shoots.
• Provide technical support to troubleshoot issues, working closely with game studios when needed.
• Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Capture Tech or in a similar role.
• Strong passion for gaming, especially on next-gen platforms and PCs, with a focus on Call of Duty or other major gaming titles.
• Excellent eye for composition and attention to detail.
• Proficient knowledge of video game debug systems and technical troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under tight deadlines.
• A focused, detail-oriented approach to work with the ability to take and apply constructive feedback.
• College degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in visual arts (film, photography, motion graphics, etc.).
• Real-world photography or cinematography experience.

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week, and the assignment length must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
