Strong knowledge of cruise/travel applications (Seaware, Fidelio, etc.) and Microsoft Office is essential.

As Business Systems Support Manager, Shipboard, you will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who provides Production Support and Operational Support for the various systems and interfaces used by Disney Cruise Line Terminal Operations and Shipboard Operations. These systems are used both shoreside and onboard our ships. You will also need substantial knowledge of all Disney Cruise Line processes and systems from our guests visiting our website through the shore side reservation systems all the way through the cruise experience.

You will:

  • Support embarkation operations and shipboard Cast Members, Crew, and Partners to provide systems operation guidance and training at our homeport and outport locations. Provide systems support for ongoing operations, new ship construction, launches and dry docks

  • Collaborate with Business Operations and Business Technology to provide information and guidance to the business unit that will have a significant impact on their planning and decision making.

  • Capture operational requirements for, or on behalf of, Travel Services, Terminal Operations, shipboard Cast Members, Crew, and external partners.

  • Perform and coordinate user acceptance testing of new system releases, incidents, outages and issue resolution.

  • Develop Standard Operating Guides, manuals, policies, and procedures. Partner with the appropriate training teams to provide support across lines of business.

  • Responsible for effective and timely communication of issues, incidents, new releases and outages.

  • Gather requirements, design, build and manage business rules within applications.

  • Provide appropriate systems access within established guidelines for both Shoreside Cast and Shipboard Crew for applicable applications.

  • Cast Member may be asked to travel independently, domestically and internationally, in support of the business operation. Travel may account for up to or in excess of 20% of the working year.

  • Must be available 24/7 and provide rotational on-call support including nights, weekends and holidays. On-call support may require immediate action, escalation, oversight and maintained engagement until impact resolution has been achieved.

You will have:

  • Strong knowledge in one or more cruise or travel related applications such as Seaware, Fidelio, OARS, DXP, Silverwhere and willingness to learn new applications

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience with software and hardware hierarchies and related dependencies

  • Experience with reporting applications such as Business Objects and Tableau

  • Proven ability to be a self-starter with minimal supervision and follow-up

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, successfully meeting deadlines

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent planning, organizing and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Disney Cruise Line products and services

  • Prior leadership experience

  • Knowledge of SAP, report writing applications and property management systems

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
