Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a background in Privacy or Data Infrastructure to lead the development of software systems that protect data shared by billions of users daily. You will play a key role in the Product Compliance and Privacy team, collaborating to define, manage, and execute cross-functional programs and technologies that enable product and infrastructure teams to prioritize privacy. You will leverage data and foresight to shape long-term strategy, drive planning and prioritization, and work closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and other cross-functional teams to support product launches and roadmaps. Must have:
  • B.S. in Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience
  • Experience driving and delivering complex tech programs or products
  • Experience defining strategic direction and identifying new opportunities for impact
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and functions
  • Communication experience at executive level
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems
Good to have:
  • Prior experience with data systems, data infrastructure or data governance technology
  • Prior experience applying technology to privacy, security, regulatory or compliance problems
  • Experience with large offline datasets and data storage systems
  • Privacy related industry certifications such as CIPP or past experience implementing tooling to support major regulations like GDPR and EPD
We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a Product or Platform solutions development experience in the Privacy or Data Infrastructure domain to drive the development of software systems which protect data shared by billions of people everyday. This person will be an integral leader in our Product Compliance and Privacy team to collaboratively define, manage, and drive cross functional programs and technologies that enable product and infrastructure teams across Meta to deliver their products and features with privacy in mind. They will use data and foresight to help shape long-term strategy, and drive planning and prioritization for the teams they support by working closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Data Scientists and other cross-functions to support product launches and roadmaps. You'll work with some of the brightest minds in the industry, work with one of the richest data sets in the world, use cutting edge technology, and see your efforts affect products and people on a regular basis. The ideal candidate has a passion for User Trust, Privacy and Data Governance and will be able to bring strong thought leadership, technical understanding, and execution excellence to major initiatives in the space resulting in robust solutions that scale to the next billion people worldwide.
Technical Program Manager, Privacy Infra Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage end-to-end technical product solutions and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Manage and own cross-functional products and programs execution in a matrix organization.
  • Drive and influence technical and product strategy, proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, align on priorities, and set direction for a broadly cross-functional area.
  • Help define the roadmap and long-term strategy of the teams that you are working with.
  • Design measurements to track impact and drive internal process improvements.
  • Articulate the technology, requirements, goals and milestones of your team.
  • Collaboratively define the vision for building Meta-scale, state-of-the-art, global products.
  • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans to ensure on-time delivery, provide day-to-day coordination, and quality assurance for tasks.
  • Move fast in a flat organization by working in concert with technical program managers, product managers and engineers across Meta to establish a shared vision for improving execution and building solutions.
  • Ongoing communication of planning, project status, issues and risks in a timely fashion to stakeholders.
  • Help drive product decisions to align with higher company initiative.
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience

  • Experience defining strategic direction and identifying new opportunities for impact amongst products, platforms and programs.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and functions, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
  • Communication experience at executive level and experience influencing senior leadership and technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products.
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
Preferred Qualifications
