What You Will Do

If you have passion for software quality and want to work in the cutting edge of security and technology, come join Forescout’s R&D’s team of software and QA engineers to take part in building and testing a product that addresses the world’s most challenging security problems.
 
The ability to see and control third-party products is imperative to the security of a customer’s network. Be on the bleeding edge of security, validating and testing software.
 
Applications range from client/server applications to web apps for a unified device visibility and control solution, running on both Windows and Linux systems.
 
Forescout’s R&D QA team is looking for an experienced technical Senior Software QA Manager that will drive and lead our transformation into an Automation first test organization.
  • Lead a team of software QA engineers, both SDET and functional testers.
  • Create and execute an automation first strategy that moves quality to the left, close to where the code is developed.
  • Build strategies and implement automation of highly repetitive tasks.
  • Create and measure team performance including KPIs for defects, resolution time, test case coverage and holding accountability to team’s members.
  • Responsible for the coaching and career development of direct reports, including removing impediments to success
  • Hire, fire and performance assessments as required.
  • Participate in Scrum activities.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams, understand complex technical innerworkings, and meet the quality expectations of the R&D organization.
  • Collaborate across multiple time zones with multiple R&D teams.
  • Actively suggest and describe ways to improve the supportability of Forescout products.
  • Attract, recruit, and hire QA Engineers when appropriate.
  • Build, test, and release software plug ins as necessary.

What You Bring To Forescout

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in development, testing, systems engineering, utilizing workflows for orchestration, or third-party integrations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
  • A start-up spirit and can-do attitude, willing to figure things out when necessary.
  • 4+ years of leading QA/test engineering teams.
  • 5+ years of test automation experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge of software QA engineering concepts and techniques.
  • Agile software testing experience.
  • Create processes when necessary and enhance existing processes when appropriate.
  • Knowledge of development and experience with Agile/Kanban/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience in Atlassian products JIRA and Confluence.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to collaborate both up and down the management/leadership structure.
