DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Develop, maintain, and improve the testing for Nintendo's audio systems.
Write and update test frameworks, applications and samples that use and stress different audio software components for various Nintendo target systems that are useful for different development teams.
Work with DevOps and development teams on CI infrastructure issues including triage of CI TeamCity issues.
This is a development role with application development, automated test creation and infrastructure.
Modifies and maintains existing code
Produces production-ready code to defined specifications with assistance and review from more senior engineers
Implements hardware solutions to defined specifications
Learns and contributes to the testing framework
Debugs own code
Assists with triage and remediation
Understands functional requirements, use-case scenarios and design goals of their assigned tasks
Learns and adheres to established software development workflow, tools and systems
May give input on feature design for their part of a module
Documents work according to defined processes
Learns how to collaborates with peer groups and other teams across Nintendo
Up to 10% travel; domestic and international
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
3+ years industry experience within a software organization
3+ years experience automating tests
Knowledge of software testing methodologies and software quality assurance processes
Understanding of embedded software/hardware design, application software design and emerging technologies
Experience in audio engineering test automation systems to ensure audio systems are of high quality
Experience working with audio middleware and their APIs
Good C, C++, and Python coding ability
Good technical communicate skills and ownership of tasks
BS in engineering or related field
This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time.
This position includes a base salary range of $86,689 - $130,033 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
