About the job

Role Profile

We are looking for multifaceted and forward-looking Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Sr.Manager - Oracle RMB Engineering and IT Change & Release to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling OCI environments, including the setup, configuration, and management of OCI resources, as well as coordinating OCI support and Owner of the IT Change & Releases in agile Sprint. The candidate must have full understanding the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavioral characteristics of large-scale implementation of Cloud Fusion.

Responsibility includes development and implementation of critical test cases with focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. Partner with development teams and work towards addressing and fixing production issues on cloud, defining and implementing product enhancements. Collaborate with various cloud operations teams to understand the production issues and work towards to create a reproducible test case in the lab environment to present to the development team.

The Programme is driving efficiencies and improving benefits for LSEG by moving to a single cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning and Performance Management (Oracle Fusion/EPM/EDM).

As a Senior Manager - Oracle RMB Engineering and IT Change & Release will be responsible for:

  • Planning & Leading the IT Change Releases life cycle schedules.
  • Responsible for End-to-End Technical Delivery of Oracle Cloud RMB
  • Communicate the detail plans, timelines, requirements across wider teams & customers.
  • Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon the Legacy applications, defect backlogs, planned releases and patching of Infrastructure Environments
  • Identify the risks that can delay the release and lead them, such that the scope scheduled, and quality of the release is not affected.
  • Supervise the progress and find issues, if any. always work to improve the release process.
  • Make sure that the release is planned, according to the requirements and budget.
  • Plan and give weekly updates on the release activities.
  • Make sure the allocation of Release Engineers to every release.
  • Lead the Go-Live activities to deploy the software successfully.
  • Schedule the CAB, Backlog refinement meetings to discuss the release schedules with the team and find roadblocks, if any.
  • Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists, and dependencies.
  • Make improvements in the methodologies used for configuration management and development of software that helps to find ways to use in configuration management.
  • Responsible for Leading OCI Environments and OCI Console Engineers.
  • Responsible to collaborate with Internal & External required teams to ensure optimal performance and availability of applications and services.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies and procedures.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Expertise in IT Change Releases life cycle Management.
  • Extensive experience of Oracle Cloud and EBS R12 /RMB Architecture
  • Hands on Knowledge on OCI GEN II & Cloud at Customer (GEN I, GEN II) or similar IaaS Admin experience
  • Expertise in leading and working with Oracle support, consulting teams and should have a thorough understanding of the process that is involved taking care of Oracle SR’s.
  • Team player, able to work with different levels in the organization across multiple time zones.
  • Naturally inquisitive, able to think creatively and offer solutions or alternative viewpoints.
  • Superb communication and social skills.
  • Proficient in Oracle Apps, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Oracle Cluster ware, OEM
  • Ability to convert functional business requirements into technical solutions.

Experience

  • Experience in Oracle ERP Cloud Fusion Applications Implementation/Release Management and leading end to end operations for change control boards
  • Extensive experience of Oracle Cloud and EBS R12 / RMB Architecture
  • Strong Linux/UNIX OS understanding including OS Architecture & Internals (Networking, File Systems, Process/Memory Monitoring/Tuning/Linux Virtualisation etc).
  • More than 16years of experience in Oracle ERP applications Implementation or release management.
  • Experience working within a Finance Technology function, preferably with large Financial Services Organisation.
  • Experience in driving high availability, resiliency, and scalability of a global Oracle ERP Cloud Fusion Applications landscape delivering metrics-driven continuous improvements.
  • Ability to work with multi-functional Directors and global leads
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
