The Crown Is Yours

As a Senior Director of Federal Government Affairs, you will lead our federal strategy, fostering relationships with Congressional offices and key stakeholders to influence the future of sports betting, iGaming, and fantasy sports. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams across DraftKings, as well as with lobbyists, legislators, and regulators to drive meaningful legislation and regulatory frameworks. This position provides a unique opportunity to impact the national landscape for our industry. What you’ll do as a Senior Director of Federal Government Affairs

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Congressional offices, executive branch agencies, and other influential stakeholders.

  • Lead our federal government affairs strategy with a deep understanding of the U.S. legislative and regulatory process, including the dynamics of Executive Agencies, the U.S. Senate, and the House of Representatives.

  • Analyze proposed legislation and regulatory developments, providing insights to help the business anticipate and navigate potential impacts.

  • Track critical industry trends and emerging issues, offering timely guidance on matters that could shape current and future business opportunities.

  • Advocate for DraftKings' positions on public policy and legislative matters.

  • Represent DraftKings in policy forums, conferences, and political events, serving as a key advocate and spokesperson.

What you’ll bring

  • At least 10 years of experience in federal public policy, gained in a Congressional office or a comparable private-sector federal government affairs role.

  • Established, substantial relationships within Congress are required.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at simplifying complex policies into clear, actionable insights.

  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively, strategically aligning business goals with legislative priorities and proposing innovative solutions to evolving challenges.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is 220,800.00 USD - 276,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
