Summary:
We are looking for a talented Senior Animator to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for bringing characters, game objects, and UI elements to life through traditional or digital 2D animation techniques. As a Senior Animator, you will collaborate with the creative team and take the lead on various animation projects, ensuring high-quality outputs that align with the game’s artistic vision. You should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and have strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Your goal will be to deliver fluid, engaging animations that enhance the player experience.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and animate 2D characters, props, and backgrounds based on storyboards, concept art, and creative briefs.
• Accurately portray characters or objects' personalities, expressions, and movements through dynamic animation.
• Collaborate with the creative team to ensure consistency in animation style and adherence to project guidelines.
• Create animatics, layout poses, and in-betweens to produce smooth and fluid character animations.
• Participate in animation reviews and feedback sessions to refine and iterate on animations.
• Enhance animation quality by adding effects like rays, glows, and lighting to make the artwork more engaging.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure technical and creative alignment.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior animators, helping them grow their skills and contribute effectively to the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve animation-related issues, ensuring deliverables meet high standards.
• Contribute to improving animation workflows and processes to increase efficiency.
Skills Required:
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and Spine 2D.
• Deep understanding of animation principles, including timing, spacing, squash and stretch, and anticipation.
• Experience with particle simulations, visual effects, and physics dynamics.
• Optional: Familiarity with Blender 3D and digital drawing skills.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to think creatively and solve complex animation challenges.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Education Qualifications:
Minimum: BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) or a relevant course
Experience Required: 4+ years in animation (films, TV, video games, or related industries)
