Summary

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for assisting with end-to-end payroll processing and administration, including calculating and verifying employee salaries, benefits, and deductions. They will ensure timely and accurate data entry of payroll information, respond to employee inquiries, generate payroll reports, assist with payroll tax calculations and submissions, conduct audits, support system implementations, and collaborate with HR and Finance. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a related field, practical payroll experience, excellent attention to detail, strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, proficiency in payroll software, and strong communication skills. This role requires maintaining confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive data and involves problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities will include:

    • Assisting with end-to-end payroll processing and administration
    • Calculating and verifying employee salaries, benefits, and deductions in accordance with company policies, employment contracts, and legal regulations
    • Ensuring timely and accurate data entry of payroll information, including employee
    • details, timesheets, and attendance records, to maintain precise payroll records
    • Responding promptly to employee inquiries and concerns regarding their payroll
    • Generating payroll reports, such as payroll summaries, tax reports, and labor cost
    • analyses
    • Assisting in payroll tax calculations, deductions, and submissions to ensure compliance
    • with local, state, and federal tax regulations
    • Conducting regular audits and verifications of payroll data to identify and rectify any inaccuracies and discrepancies
    • Supporting the implementation and integration of new payroll systems or upgrades
    • Participating in process improvement initiatives
    • Building and maintaining positive relationships with payroll service providers and
    • vendors Collaborating closely with the HR and Finance teams to exchange relevant payroll information at the time of audit and resolve payroll-related issues
    • Staying updated with the latest payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor standards

    • You hold a Degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
    • You have practical experience in payroll processing and administration
    • You possess excellent attention to detail for accurate payroll management and support
    • You are well-versed in payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
    • You are proficient in using payroll software and tools to process payroll efficiently, generate reports, and manage records
    • You have experience maintaining confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive data
    • You have strong problem-solving skills
    • You possess strong written and verbal communication skills
