Job Description

We are seeking a senior Quality Analyst with 7+ years of experience in manual, ETL, and database testing for our team in Gurgaon, India. The role requires deep SQL knowledge, UI testing expertise, and familiarity with the full software development lifecycle. Responsibilities include creating test strategies, designing detailed test scripts, estimating project resources, and utilizing test management tools (QC, JIRA, Selenium). Experience in banking domain is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and be able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. Thorough understanding of various testing methodologies (smoke, functional, system, regression, usability, UAT) is essential.

Project description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Analyst with a strong background in manual, ETL, and database testing to join our team. You will possess deep knowledge of SQL, UI testing, and the full software development lifecycle, with experience in test strategy creation and hands-on testing across multiple methodologies. This role requires expertise in writing detailed test scripts, estimating project resources, and using test management tools, preferably within the banking domain.

Responsibilities

Manual & ETL Testing: Conduct manual, ETL, and database testing, ensuring accuracy across complex queries and data transformations throughout the software development lifecycle.

UI Testing: Perform thorough UI testing, including smoke, functional, system, regression, usability, and user acceptance testing, with a strong understanding of UI concepts.

Test Strategy Development: Contribute to and develop test strategies, ensuring thorough testing coverage and alignment with project goals.

Test Script Creation: Design detailed and structured test scripts using best practice principles to validate functionality and performance.

Project Estimation & Planning: Provide accurate estimations for modules/projects and recommend resource planning strategies to optimize testing efforts.

Test Management & Automation Tools: Utilize test management and automation tools, such as Quality Center (QC), JIRA, and Selenium, to ensure efficient and effective test execution.

Banking Domain Knowledge: Apply banking industry knowledge to test projects, ensuring compliance with standards and accuracy in banking applications.

Skills

Must have

Minimum of 7 years in quality analysis, with specific experience in manual, ETL, and database testing.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in SQL for query writing and logic understanding.

Hands-on experience with UI and functional testing methodologies.

Testing Knowledge: Skilled in various testing types (smoke, functional, system, regression, usability, UAT).

Test Strategy & Script Writing: Experience creating test strategies and writing structured test scripts.

Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with test management and automation tools (e.g., QC, JIRA, Selenium).

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to have

Experience in banking or financial services, with an understanding of banking applications and data requirements.
