Job Description

• Surface Polishing: Execute polishing tasks on a variety of surfaces including wood, metal, glass, marble, and other materials commonly found in a luxury hotel environment. Utilize appropriate polishing techniques and equipment to achieve desired results without causing damage to the surfaces.
• Furniture Maintenance: Polish and buff furniture pieces such as tables, chairs, cabinets, and decorative items to restore their shine and luster. Apply appropriate cleaning and polishing agents to remove dirt, dust, and smudges effectively.
• Floor Care: Perform polishing and buffing of floors using floor polishing machines, floor buffers, and polishing pads. Select suitable polishing compounds and finishes based on the type of flooring material to achieve desired shine and smoothness.
• Fixture Cleaning: Clean and polish fixtures including light fixtures, door handles, faucets, and hardware to maintain their appearance and functionality. Pay attention to detail to ensure that all surfaces are free of smudges, fingerprints, and stains.
• Specialized Surfaces: Handle specialized polishing tasks for delicate surfaces such as antiques, artwork, and decorative ornaments with care and precision. Follow specific instructions and use gentle techniques to preserve the integrity of these valuable items.
• Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of polishing supplies, equipment, and consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained at all times. Coordinate with the housekeeping team to replenish supplies as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Polisher or in a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or hospitality setting.
• Proficiency in various polishing techniques and methods for different surfaces and materials.
• Familiarity with polishing tools and equipment including polishing pads, buffers, and polishing compounds.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for cleanliness and aesthetics.
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
