Onward Search seeks a Paid Media Campaign Manager to support a retail client on a project basis until May 2025, with potential extension. This hybrid role in Hoboken, NJ requires planning, executing, managing, and optimizing campaigns across the marketing funnel. Responsibilities include defining success metrics, measuring performance, maintaining campaign documentation, leading daily maintenance, building client relationships, trafficking campaign tags, overseeing QA, developing proposals, managing campaign materials, providing performance insights, collaborating with media partners, troubleshooting issues, preparing reports, and attending client meetings. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years of experience in bid management, campaign management/optimization, or digital media operations, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent communication and project management skills.

We're seeking a Paid Media Campaign Manager to support a retail client. This role combines strategic and tactical duties, requiring you to independently generate insights for campaign optimization. You’ll be responsible for offering expertise in optimization strategies and guiding best practices for client communication.

The ideal candidate has experience in online trafficking, campaign management, bid management platforms, and active campaign optimization. Strong analytical abilities, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach are essential qualities for success in this role.


This is a project opportunity until May 2025 with potential to extend. The role is located in Hoboken, NJ working on a hybrid basis.

Paid Media Campaign Manager Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, execute, manage, and optimize both managed service and self-service campaigns.
  • Understand campaign tactics across the marketing funnel, including upper-funnel (brand messaging, calls to action) and lower-funnel (direct response, conversion) strategies.
  • Define success metrics and measure campaign performance using internal analytics.
  • Maintain diligence, attention to detail, and adherence to WMG's best practices throughout each campaign's life cycle, from pre-sale to post-sale.
  • Organize campaign documentation in the team’s shared repository.
  • Lead daily campaign maintenance, handling internal inquiries on tracking and campaign status.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams through excellent client service.
  • Traffic campaign tags across ad tech environments.
  • Oversee the QA process to ensure accurate campaign implementation, pacing, and performance.
  • Develop proposals for new client opportunities.
  • Manage the delivery of creative assets, insertion orders, and other campaign materials for launch.
  • Provide clients with regular insights on performance, optimizations, and new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with media partners to ensure proper platform implementation.
  • Troubleshoot issues during pre-production and live campaigns.
  • Prepare campaign wrap-up and monthly auditing reports, and adjust billing systems as needed.
  • Attend client meetings as required.


Paid Media Campaign Manager Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in bid management, campaign management/optimization, or digital media operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to provide partners with guidance on best practices and areas for improvement.

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week and the length of assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
