ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a seasoned IT professional to be responsible for System and Network administration for our fast-growing site in Guadalajara.

This role requires strong know-how, service orientation and excellent delivery approach in various IT technologies, on-premise and on-cloud. 

In addition, you will be required to advocate, communicate and collaborate with mixed teams of engineering and non-engineering employees who work on site and remotely. You will collaborate with other members of the IT team in other locations . You must be able to work independently with close communication with your manager, located in USA.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    • Operate and maintain IT Infrastructure on-site 
    • Operate and maintain core IT systems: directory services, backups: local and cloud, virtualizations, software distribution, etc. 
    • Install and configure computer hardware and software applications 
    • Support special IT needs from the hardware and software engineering teams, such as network configuration of integration labs 
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve/escalate desktop and network issues 
    • Maintain procedural documents and reports 
    • Setup and maintain systems such as videoconferencing, access controls, printers, etc. 
    • Provide excellent service for users from different departments R&D, Field Operations, Administration 
    • Project management, implementation and rollout of IT projects according to Agile methodologies 
    • Work in close collaboration with our IT leadership around the world 

WHAT WE WANT TO SEE

    • Experience as an IT Professional, Technical Support Engineer or similar role in a fast-paced technology environment  
    • 5+ years of experience with setup and configuration of end-user desktop and laptop computer hardware, software, printers, phones, cell phones and peripherals 
    • 5+ years of experience with setup and configuration of computer networks (e.g. wireless, firewall, internet/intranet system) 
    • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field  
    • Hands-on admin. experience with Windows 10, Office 365 and Active Directory  
    • Experience working with cloud-based and SaaS services (Zoom, Slack, Atlassian, etc.) 
    • Good knowledge of network security practices SSO, EDR and Mail Protection 
    • Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners 
    • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (e.g. JIRA)  
    • Familiarity with Patch Management and MDM tools, like BigFix, InTune, Apple DEP 
    • Familiarity with PowerShell, bash, Azure and similar technologies 
    • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues  
    • Excellent problem-solving, multitasking and communication skills
