Description

Scopely is looking for a Game Designer (Systems + Implementation) to join our Looney Tunes team in Bangalore on a hybrid basis!
At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing, and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.
The Looney Tunes: World of Mayhem team embraces the "One Team, One Dream" culture every day. Everybody is empowered to work with a high level of autonomy and ownership to deliver the best possible player experience.
What You Will Do
As a Systems Designer you’ll be responsible for bringing characters’ kits to life. You’ll work with Content Designers to turn their vision for the characters’ skills into reality, then shepherd the character throughout the whole content pipeline: implement skills, support Quality Assurance and balance tests, organize internal playtests with artists, deliver the toons and help Live Ops implement events that make the toons shine. The second major responsibility of this role would be to adjust game systems configurations or devise new configurations, inline with new feature requirements.
  • Implement new character skills using spreadsheets and Unity
  • Set up, debug and test characters
  • Engage with artists and designers to deliver high quality characters
  • Own character from initial implementation all the way to delivery
  • Design and implement new systems in partnership with engineering and other game designers, inline with new feature specifications
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Economics, or related fields
  • 2-4 years of system design experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of Game Design on Free-to-Play games
  • Technical experience with spreadsheets or programming logic
  • Initiative and curiosity
Bonus
  • Previous experience working on a collection RPG
  • Familiarity with programming languages
