Job Description

The Digital Insights Analyst will collaborate with various teams (Technical Lead, CRM, Product, Editorial, Marketing) to develop and execute the insights strategy. This critical role involves measuring performance, defining business objectives, and deeply understanding user behavior. Key responsibilities include data tracking for engagement and conversion, data hygiene, dashboard building and maintenance, and reporting findings to management. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and comfortable presenting data-driven recommendations to leaders. Responsibilities involve supporting analytics for cross-line-of-business campaigns, providing regular reporting, optimizing user engagement, and presenting insights to stakeholders. Proficiency in Adobe Analytics and other tools is essential, along with a keen interest in entertainment and media.

The Digital Insights Analyst will work closely with our Technical Lead, CRM, Product, Editorial and Marketing teams to develop and execute our insights strategy, a critical role in helping measure performance and define our business objectives through a deep understanding of our users and their behaviour. The focus of the role is on data tracking to measure engagement and conversion, assisting with data hygiene, building & maintaining dashboards, and reporting findings/insights to management.

Our ideal candidate is an analytical and curious digital native who gets their energy from working collaboratively across multiples markets, lines of business, partners, and teams to uncover insights that will help us deliver what our customers want. You are a logical thinker who gets enjoyment from developing insights from the data you are working with and using this information to tell a story that can inform and evolve business decisions. As a clear and confident communicator, you are comfortable presenting recommendations to leaders and being able to back your views through your data.

Your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Working closely with Product, CRM, Editorial and Marketing teams to gather and share audience data and analytics fordigital properties across The Walt Disney Company business
  • Supporting the tracking and analytics for cross-line-of-business owned channel campaigns (ESPN, Disney +, Stage, Studios, Parks, Disney Store), providing weekly/monthly reporting with insights on campaign effectiveness.
  • Offering data-backed recommendations to optimize user engagement with digital properties and conversion on marketing campaigns. 
  • Presenting analytics and insights to the digital team and various lines-of-business stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Using Adobe Analytics (and other tools) to track performance, create dashboards, and provide actionable insights to teams.
  • Keeping up with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the digital products.

To be successful in this role, you will hold:

  • 5+ years’ experience working in data analytics, ideally for a consumer-facing product with scale
  • Experience with providing data insights to a large-scale digital news/content platform is a plus
  • Experience querying, updating, and managing data in SQL     
  • A keen interest in entertainment, sport, and sports media will be beneficial
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to tell a story with the data
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, working at pace, with multiple stakeholders (local and international), managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proactive problem solving with the ability to examine issues from a broad perspective
  • Open minded, flexible, and adaptable in outlook and approach
  • Inquisitive with a desire and capacity to learn and relearn
