Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

It's an exciting time to join the Compensation Team at Netflix as we continue to expand! At Netflix, we have a unique approach to compensation which helps us attract and retain stunning colleagues around the world. We pay employees at their personal top of market for the role we’re hiring them into by making a good-faith estimate of the compensation each person could make at peer firms. This requires managers and the Talent team to combine competitive data we are able to extract from the external market alongside conventional data sources. To do this effectively, we need a compensation team that can balance both the art and science of compensation levels and design.

As a Compensation Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our compensation strategy and ensuring the alignment of our practices with our unique compensation philosophy. You will leverage your analytical skills to provide insights and recommendations that enhance our compensation programs and support decision-making across the organization. The Compensation Analyst will be based in the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compensation Analysis and Insights: Conduct thorough analyses to support compensation benchmarking and develop insights that inform our pay structures. Create data-driven recommendations to support HR and business leaders.

  • Program Support and Development: Contribute to the development and rollout of global compensation programs, ensuring they are effective and aligned with organizational goals. Participate in activities such as annual compensation reviews, pay equity initiatives, and compensation training.

  • Data Management and Integrity: Manage and analyze compensation data to maintain accuracy and integrity across various platforms. Conduct regular audits and improve systems to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Collaboration and Advisory: Work collaboratively with various teams, such as Compensation Partners, Talent Analytics, and TEO Operations, to deliver compensation solutions that meet business needs. Provide advisory support to inform compensation decisions in line with our philosophy.

  • Tools and Dashboards Development: Develop analytical tools and dashboards to enable effective decision-making and communication of compensation trends and policies. Utilize these tools to build metrics that support HR and manager needs.

Qualifications:

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and extract meaningful insights to tell compelling stories with data.

  • Systems/Tooling Experience: Experience in data modeling and using Excel/Google Sheets effectively. Familiarity with the following tools like compensation tools such as Tableau, Workday, BetterComp, MarketPay, or CompAnalyst is preferred.

  • Communication: Excellent ability to convey complex compensation information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including top leadership.

  • Proactive and Solution-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive process enhancements.

  • Compensation Knowledge: Understanding of compensation principles and practices, with experience in auditing data and maintaining systems integrity.

  • Industry Experience: Experience with compensation offerings in the technology and/or entertainment industries is advantageous

At Netflix, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your personal top of market. We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $80,000 - $280,000.
