The Civics Outreach Manager at Google will lead outreach and training to political entities, utilizing Google's product suite to achieve their goals. This role involves developing product outreach and training pipelines for candidates, elected officials, and political organizations, creating curriculum and case studies. The manager will also manage Google's brand presence at political events, serve as an industry insights authority, and respond to partner inquiries. The position requires a nonpartisan mindset and experience in political or government fields, managing cross-functional projects, and presenting to large audiences. A passion for technology and innovative application of online tools is preferred.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in the political or government field.
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience presenting in front of large audiences.
  • Knowledge of political processes, political campaign culture, and election law.
  • Knowledge of and passion for technology, and a track record using technology and online tools in innovative ways.
  • Ability to balance and track multiple projects and stakeholders in very fast moving environments.
  • Nonpartisan mindset to work with groups across the political spectrum.
    Confidence managing internal/external relationships.

As a Civics Outreach Manager, you'll join the cross-functional team that is committed to supporting democratic processes around the world, driving innovation at the intersection of tech and politics, and growing opportunities to increase civic discourse and access to information.

In this role, you will drive efforts to help politicians and government officials use and comprehend Google products to connect with voters and constituents. You’ll help educate campaigns, politicians and third-party groups on Google’s product offerings including AI tools, Search, cybersecurity tools, and more.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead outreach and training to political entities at relevant industry events and meetings, helping them understand and utilize Google’s suite of products to achieve their goals.
  • Develop product outreach and training pipeline for candidates, elected officials and political organizations, building out curriculum and case studies where appropriate.
  • Manage Google’s brand presence at key political events and on-the-ground activations.
  • Serve as an authority on industry insights and communicate proactively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Answer incoming questions or requests from partners about our product suite in a timely manner, managing to resolution where appropriate.
