About the team: As a world-renowned VR/AR brand with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, Pico has been at the forefront of the consumer electronic market. We have teams in Northern America, Europe, Japan and South Korea. We are looking for a creative Optical Systems Engineer to join us to build our AR/VR display optics system team, to develop and lead new optical module development for Pico products. Responsibilities: - Supervise the daily management and operation of the laboratory, encompassing equipment maintenance, material procurement, and inventory management - Perform lab audits for safety/regulatory compliance - Organize and archive experimental data and reports to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data. - Management of internal and external resources for quick prototyping - Support optical system prototype development in areas of optical/mechanical/electronic component prototyping, integration, testing, and refinement - Assist the R&D team in experimental design and project implementation, offering technical advice and solutions

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in a technical or vocational training background - 2+ years previous Lab Management or related project management experience required. - Experience working in an R&D laboratory. - Experience in hardware prototyping and familiarity with laboratory equipment and operating procedures. - Strong organizational skills for both your physical workspace as well as for your information - Have strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with the R&D team. Preferred Qualification - Have working experience in the XR-related field. - Experience in equipment installation and maintenance. - Hands-on experience operating test equipment, sensors, and metrology (ie: microscopes, cameras, etc).
