Job Description

The Walt Disney World Strategic Sourcing Intern will assist in various projects within the Strategic Sourcing department. Responsibilities include data analysis for cost reduction and value creation, liaising between Strategic Sourcing and clients, supporting sourcing projects (data analysis and supplier interaction), developing and implementing eRFIs/eRFQs/eRFPs/eAuctions, conducting market assessments, participating in supplier negotiations, managing supplier relationships, and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with business initiatives. The internship runs from June to December 2025 and is a full-time position in Central Florida. Interns may assist teams like Design & Construction, Facilities & Operations, Food & Beverage, and more.
Must have:
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Project ownership and completion
  • Professional demeanor, organized
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in relevant field (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain etc.)
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
Good to have:
  • Supply Chain Management experience
  • Theme park work experience

As a Strategic Sourcing intern, you will have the unique opportunity to assist with a variety of projects within our Strategic Sourcing department.

The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 to December 2025.

This is a full-time position, and interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.

This Internship is in Central Florida.

What will you do:

  • Perform data analysis to find opportunities for cost reduction and value creation (improved quality, cost, service and compliance) and facilitate supplier presentations.

  • Perform liaison work between Strategic Sourcing and key clients, ensuring efficient supply chain methods

  • Provide support for sourcing projects, including data analysis and supplier interface

  • Develop and implement eRFIs/eRFQs/eRFPs/eAuctions

  • Perform external market assessment and opportunity analysis and participate in Supplier negotiations

  • Develop and handle partner and supplier relationships and contract implementations

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies in alignment with business initiatives and priorities.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision

  • Professional demeanor, focused, articulate and well organized

  • Interns in this department may assist with any of the following teams: Design and Construction, Facility & Operations Services, Fixtures, Furnishing & Equipment, Food and Beverage, Cruise Line, Marketing & Graphics, Professional Services, Walt Disney Imagineering and Supplier Diversity.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

It would be great if you have/are familiar with:

  • Supply Chain Management industry

  • Previous theme park work experience

Education:

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor's or Master's degree in in engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Logistics, Economics, Finance or related.

  •  GPA of 3.0 or higher

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.

• Be at least 18 years of age

• Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information:

• Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines  

• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

• Fully available Monday thru Friday, EST for the duration of the internship,40 hours each week

• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role as an undergraduate in FL is $22.00 /hr. The pay rate for this role as a graduate student in FL is $30.40/hr.
