Summary

Grosvenor Casino in Stoke seeks an experienced maintenance person to ensure the club is well-maintained and welcoming. Responsibilities include proactive and reactive building maintenance, addressing equipment and building issues, creating and implementing a preventative maintenance program, conducting inspections, liaising with authorities, promoting safety, and maintaining cleanliness. The role also involves assisting customers, upholding company values, and managing the receipt and storage of goods. The position requires knowledge of safety regulations and experience in facilities or building management. It's a 16-hour, 4-day-a-week contract.

Job Description

Grosvenor Casino, Stoke

Our maintenance team takes great pride in ensuring that their club looks and feels sharp! They bring to the role fantastic teamwork, excellent technical skills and clear understanding of reactive and proactive building maintenance in delivering a safe and welcoming environment for customers and fellow colleagues alike.

You will;

  • Acknowledge, welcome and assist customers in all areas
  • Live our values of Service, Teamwork, Ambition, Responsibility and Solutions
  • Prompt upkeep of the building, facilities and all Rank assets
  • Reporting, fixing and escalating all equipment and building issues
  • Can create, implement and deliver a preventative maintenance program for the club in discussion with the management
  • Carry out all necessary daily, weekly and monthly inspections and checks; liaise with any local authorities and Rank health and safety managers as required
  • Encourage a culture of preservation, protection and safety in the club at all times
  • Ensuring that the building and surrounding area is kept clean, tidy and in good working order.
  • Maintaining the décor, fixtures and fittings of the building to the required standard.
  • Receiving, checking, and storing goods received under the correct conditions.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of current statutory, safety and health regulations
  • Experience in facilities or building management in any industry.
  • Any relevant technical qualifications
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, and deal with unprecedented situation
  • Aged 18 + & have right to work in the UK

 

 

Additional Information

General building maintenance required for this role. 16hr contract over 4 days per week.
