Job Description

Google seeks a Technical Program Manager for Test Engineering in Electronic Products. Responsibilities include managing factory test stations from engineering builds to End of Production (EOP), acting as the point of contact for internal and external teams, managing test readiness, and communicating with cross-functional teams. The role requires synchronizing test processes across the production line, driving yield and retest rate optimization, collaborating with contract manufacturers on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and managing schedules and deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, 5+ years of program management experience, and strong communication skills. Experience managing cross-functional projects and prior experience as a Technical Program Manager in test engineering for electronic products is preferred.

Good to have:

3+ years experience as Technical Program Manager, Test Engineering, Electronic Products

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications:

5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
3 years of experience in the position of Technical Program Manager, Test Engineering, Electronic Products.
Ability to communicate in English fluently to participate in complex technical discussions.

Responsibilities

Manage factory test stations from engineering builds to End of Production (“EOP”), be the point of contact (POC) to internal and external teams (contract manufacturer/ xture vendors), manage overall test readiness (validation test “xVT” to mass production “MP”), risks and communication to cross-functional teams.
Keep test process synchronized with other sites across the entire production line from Surface Mount Technology (SMT), sub-assembly and FATP (Final Assembly, Test, Packout).
Drive yield, retest rate and test related issues and optimization.
Work with contract manufacturer on test related Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), test xtures readiness, cycle time/unit per hour (UPH), and line balance. Manage schedules and plan for all test engineering deliverables (data collection features/solutions, test framework software drops, xture bring-up, etc).
Collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams in managing control run and process changes.
