Summary

PTW seeks a Software QA Lead - Firmware to lead a team in manually testing third-party software. Responsibilities include leading a firmware QA team, developing and maintaining functional test cases and artifacts (test data, validation, scripts), collaborating with developers on testing strategies, identifying and tracking bugs, performing regression testing, liaising with internal teams to define system requirements, monitoring debugging, and staying updated on testing tools and strategies. The role requires proven experience leading firmware QA teams, strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, experience writing test plans and cases, hands-on experience with white and black box testing, Agile/Scrum experience, and a BS/MS degree in a related field. The position is 100% on-site in São Paulo, Brazil.

PTW is seeking a Software QA Lead - Firmware to join our team. Will lead a team focused on manually testing third-party software.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of Firmware QA testers to ensure the quality of our firmware.
Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data, data validation, and automated scripts.
Collaborate with the development team to understand product changes and develop appropriate testing strategies.
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
Monitor debugging process results.
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Requirements

Proven work experience leading teams of firmware quality assurance.
Strong knowledge of firmware QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject is preferable.
