The Technical Curriculum Developer III will design, develop, and maintain technical learning content and curricula for various cloud roles (ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Developers). Responsibilities include translating technical content into effective learning materials, utilizing cloud computing technologies and instructional design principles, and collaborating with engineers and portfolio managers. The role requires analyzing Google Cloud Data solutions (BigQuery, Dataflow, etc.) and developing training for Generative AI. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, writing, and editing skills, along with experience building and managing data pipelines and using data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas). They will ensure standardization across projects and perform needs analysis to determine the most appropriate training approach.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Math, or IA
  • 5+ years Cloud Data experience
  • 2+ years in technical instruction/curriculum development
  • 2+ years Cloud computing experience
  • Design and develop training content
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and writing skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Architecture, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in Cloud Data or related discipline.
  • 2 years of experience as a technical instructor or in technical training curriculum development.
  • 2 years of experience with cloud computing technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Associate or professional certification in Cloud ML Engineer or Cloud Architect.
  • Experience coding in Python, using data science libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, etc.) and creating Jupyter notebooks.
  • Experience building and managing data pipelines.
  • Experience creating and managing learning by collaborating with technical subject matter experts and managers to develop training content and curricula.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop training content and curricula.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills within learning content, including effectively explaining technical topics to novice or non-technical audiences.

As a Technical Curriculum Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain technical learning content and curricula for various cloud roles. These roles include Machine Learning (ML) Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Developers. You will translate technical content into effective learning content and curricula. You will have an understanding of cloud computing technologies, learning, and development tools and principles instructional design.

In this role, you will utilize experience working as a Technical Curriculum Developer in Data Analytics or as an ML Engineer or Data Scientist. You will keep your technical skills honed and maintain your technology leadership in our learning organization. You will utilize knowledge in cloud computing technologies, development languages, learning development principles and tools, and instructional design. You will also use your ability to translate technical content into effective learning solutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop creative, learner-centered training content for on-demand, instructor-led, and blended training. Build associated assets including, labs, videos, facilitator guides, and other resources.
  • Analyze Google Cloud Data solutions and products such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Dataplex, Cloud Composer, Cloud Spanner and understanding their role in enabling Generative AI in order to develop effective training for our customers.
  • Collaborate effectively with Engineers, Portfolio Managers, and other partners to support initiatives.
  • Ensure and drive practices standardization across all projects, content, and curricula.
  • Perform needs and task analysis, scope projects, and evaluate existing documentation to identify the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the learning needs of each audience across global audiences.
