What We Do

What You Will Do

• Requires a deep understanding of VAT, GST, and other indirect taxes across multiple jurisdictions  (APAC & EMEA - Must have)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual VAT/GST reports for international legal entities
• Manage transaction tax general ledger reconciliation
• Ensure compliance with E-Invoice requirements in certain international jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement tax-efficient structures and strategies to minimize indirect tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of indirect tax compliance and reporting
• Train members of the international accounting team on preparation of VAT/GST filing computations.
• Stay current with changes in international tax laws and regulations, conducting research and analysis to assess their impact on the company's operations
• Support VAT/GST related internal and external audits and, if necessary, work with the regional tax team on preparing audit defense strategy
• Maintain thorough records and documentation for all tax-related activities
• Assist in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and work papers for federal, state, and international tax filings and providing support for annual tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740, including the current and deferred tax provision calculation, tax account roll forwards and reconciliations, ASC 718 tax calculation, uncertain tax positions, and tax footnotes and disclosures for annual audited financial statements.
• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations and extensions.
• Supports various global tax projects as needed

What You Will Bring To Forescout

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in an industry tax role with a US multinational company.
• Experience with both indirect and corporate tax responsibilities (e.g., VAT/GST tax compliance, preparation of journal entries, ASC 740 income tax provision, etc)
• Strong analytical mind, problem-solving, and modelling skills are required
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner
• Self-starter with growth-mindset and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
